Banana Bread Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 8 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- Pinch salt
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal
- 1⁄2 banana, chopped
- 1 scoop Bariatric Advantage Banana Flavored Protein Powder (or other brand)- use 1⁄2 serving
- 2 Tbsp chopped walnuts
- Cinnamon to taste (optional)
Directions
In a small saucepan, bring almond milk and salt to simmer on medium high heat. Add in banana and oats. Reduce heat and simmer on medium or medium low until thickened to desired consistency, about 3-5 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat and allow to sit about 1 minute to slightly cool. Stir in protein powder until well combined. Serve in 2 bowls and top each with 1TB chopped walnuts.
