Ingredients

  • 16 oz fresh strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp agave nectar
  • 5-10 drops liquid stevia (optional: vanilla flavored)

Directions

Remove the stem/hull from all the berries. Either chop or quarter the berries. If berries are large you may want to slice in half and then slice each in halves again.
Place berries in a colander and rinse them gently under cold water. (You can wash them first and then chop. No hard or fast rules here.)
Drain the water well and place the berries in a saucepan. Cook the berries over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Around 5 minutes you will find the berries releasing their juices. Cook for another 10 minutes or until your sauce reaches your desired consistency.
Then add your sweetener. Cook for another 3-5 minutes and remove from the heat allowing to cool.
