Clinton S. Bolton III, Ph.D., LCMHC, LCMHC-S, NCC

Dr. Bolton received his Bachelor’s at The University of Florida before completing his Master’s Degree at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then pursued his Ph.D. at North Carolina State University. He has provided mental health services to bariatric patients since 2007 and has been active with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery in training other mental health professionals on best practices in behavioral health with bariatric patients. Dr. Bolton has a passion for empowering patients and working with them throughout the weight loss journey.


 

Joanna Schechner, Psy.D.

Dr. Schechner earned her Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and her Master’s and Psy.D. from the Florida Institute of Technology. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the biopsychosocial factors that contribute to weight re-gain following bariatric surgery. Dr. Schechner has worked with bariatric patients since 2014 and is currently working on Board Certification in Bariatric Science .Dr. Schechner is passionate in providing a safe, validating environment for all patients , is LGBTQIA2+ affirming and works with a variety of mental health disorders ranging from depression and anxiety, PTSD, to personality disorder to severe and chronic disorders such as schizophrenia.
