Benjamin Crisp, MD

Benjamin Crisp, MD

I was born and raised in Burlington, NC. I graduated from Duke University with a BS in Psychology before attending the UNC School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. I completed residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and MIS bariatric fellowship training at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. I am excited to be back home to serve the North Carolina community.

It was a lifelong goal of mine to become a surgeon. It is a privilege to deliver care when people entrust us with their surgical needs. I aim to be kind, empathetic, diligent, and persistent in caring for patients while using surgery as a tool to reverse or cure conditions and improve longevity and quality of life.

My interest in Bariatric and Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery is born out of a desire to combine knowledge, surgical judgment, and technical expertise to develop a solid patient-physician relationship and achieve problem resolution for my patients.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching and playing sports.
