Half Veggie Burgers

Ingredients
- 3c cooked lentils
- 1c bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1c red onion, finely chopped
- 1lb 93% ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2tsp kosher salt
- 1/2tsp ground black pepper
Directions
Roughly mash the lentils. Mix the lentils, vegetable, egg and meat with your hands in mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
Form 8 patties. Grill patties on medium-high heat, until brown on both sides. The internal temperature of the burgers should reach 160°F.
** Patties can be formed, wrapped in plastic wrap and then refrigerated for 2-3 days or frozen for up to 2 weeks.
Makes 8 servings
