Peter C. Ng, MD, FACS, FASBMS
Dr. Ng, a Raleigh native, is an expert in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery and teacher of single-incision and hidden-scar laparoscopic techniques. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Lindsey S. Sharp, MD, FACS, FASMBS
Dr. Sharp, a Virginia native, is the medical director of bariatric surgery services at Rex Healthcare. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and a fellow with the American College of Surgeons. He also belongs to the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.

Dustin M. Bermudez, MD, FACS
Dr. Bermudez, a native of Massachusetts, is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and fellow with the American College of Surgeons. He belongs to the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He has published papers and presented at national meetings about wound healing and weight-loss surgery.

Erica Mckearney, PA-C
Erica McKearney, an Oregon native, earned her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University. She earned a masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Methodist University in 2011. She worked as a Physician Assistant in urgent care and family practice for five years before joining Rex Bariatric Specialists in 2016. She enjoys reading, hiking, walking her dog, and spending time with her friends and family.
Jillian Vari, PA-C, RD, CNSC
Jillian Vari, PA-C, RD, CNSC received her undergraduate degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. She earned her masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from James Madison University. She worked as a Registered Dietitian in bariatric surgery, general medicine, and inpatient surgery for 5 years prior to returning to PA school. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, and being outdoors.
Krista Herrell, R.N., B.S.N.
Krista Herrell, R.N., B.S.N. works with patients from their initial consultation, through surgery and beyond to make sure that patients have the resources and support needed for successful weight loss.
Mary Gray Hutchison, M.P.H., R.D., L.D.N.
Mary Gray Hutchison, M.P.H., R.D., L.D.N. is a graduate of NC State University with an advanced degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been providing nutrition therapy and education in the Raleigh area since 2008. She has been working with weight loss surgery patients for most of her career. She has a passion for facilitating group classes, grocery store tours and cooking demonstrations.
Caroline Pope, M.S., R.D., L.D.N.
Caroline Pope, M.S., R.D., L.D.N. received her Master of Science in Nutrition from Meredith College in 2014. Helping this population achieve life changing success has been her dream since receiving an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A Raleigh native, she has a long background in fitness coaching and enjoys encouraging behavioral change and mindfulness in nutrition therapy.
Margaret Roberts, MS, RD, LDN
Margaret Roberts received her master of science in Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh. She has provided nutrition counseling within a variety of environments, including a weight loss surgery practice, cardiac rehabilitation, and a dialysis clinic. She enjoys seeing the positive ways that nutrition can impact a person’s life. She moved to Raleigh with her husband, cat, and English bulldog to escape the cold Pittsburgh winters.
