Bell Pepper Poppers
2 sweet bell peppers with seeds and veins removed, cut into 12pieces per pepper OR Mini sweet peppers
4oz low fat cream cheese
1-2tsp no salt added lemon pepper seasoning (such as Mrs. Dash)
1tsp juice of one lemon + zest
1/4c slivered or sliced almonds, dry toasted in pan on medium heat
Combine cream cheese, spice blend, lemon juice and zest in bowl.
Reserve 1T almonds for garnish; chop up the rest of almonds and incorporate into cream cheese mixture.
Spoon 1tsp cream cheese mixture onto bell pepper piece and top with a few slivered almonds.
